Vintage Turquoise Cab in Yellow Gold

My favorite combination: Turquoise & Yellow Gold. Sigh. 💙💛

There’s just something about the pairing of cool, saturated turquoise with the warmth of yellow gold that gets me every single time. And if you’re equally captivated by this combination, you are absolutely in the right place. This Lovely has had a little journey. ✨

It began life as a vintage 9K/9ct gold ring, but when it came to me, its original cameo was broken and the ring was in need of some love—and a new purpose. Rather than let this beautiful setting go to waste, I gave it a fresh start with a gorgeous piece of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, measuring approximately 10mm x 7.8mm.

And for my hallmark fans—this one has the goods. 😍

The ring carries full English hallmarks indicating:
• 375 — 9ct gold
• Birmingham assay mark
• 1979 date letter

The setting itself is particularly charming. The turquoise is held in a compass-style prong arrangement, with pairs of prongs at the north, south, east, and west. From there, triple open shoulders sweep toward the shank, giving the ring a delicate architectural quality while still letting that beautiful turquoise take center stage.

And then there’s the ring bum. 😉💍 You know what I mean if you’re one of those people who appreciates the little details that nobody else sees. The underside of this ring is adorable—one of those hidden attributes that makes owning vintage jewelry so much fun.
